Oral Surgery for Kids & Adults in Brampton

“We take pride in gentle and pain free wisdom tooth extractions.”

Dr. Robert Axelrad, Brampton Dentist

Dental implants are far from the only form of oral surgery performed at our office. As members of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, our oral surgeons are qualified for many different surgical procedures, including:

Wisdom teeth extraction:

Having wisdom teeth removed is a common oral procedure undergone by thousands of people across the GTA every year. Wisdom teeth are “third molars” that usually appear in people between their mid-teens and mid-twenties. They can appear in many different forms and positions, such as mesioangular (angled forward toward the front of the mouth), vertical (not fully coming through the gum line), disotangular (angled backward to the rear of the mouth) or horizontal (angled 90 degrees sideways).

When properly aligned, wisdom teeth can prove to be valuable assets to the mouth.  But more often than not, they are misaligned and their removal is required.

If left untreated, wisdom teeth can disrupt other teeth and cause severe pain in the gums and headaches Air Jordan 6 Sale. Our oral surgeons have significant experience and strive to ensure wisdom teeth are removed gently and pain free, minimizing any post-surgery discomfort.

Broken teeth:

Did you have a fall, accident or any trauma to one or more teeth? We’ll assess the damage and determine the best and most painless course of treatment. Minor cracks may only require a slight polish to smooth out the surface; chips to the cusp (the actual chewing surface) of a tooth may require crowns; more serious fractures may lend better to root canals. Whatever the problem may be, we have a solution.

Bone grafting:

Sometimes, patients requiring dental implants don’t have enough bone to “accept” those implants, possibly because of gum disease or injury. In that case, we can perform a bone graft to prepare a patient’s jaw for the implant.

Root canals:

Repairing damaged teeth by treating infection in the pulp – the soft tissue of different vessels and nerve fibres inside a tooth. Root canals have a scary reputation, but our experienced, caring staff does everything in its power to keep the process trauma-free and painless.

For any of these oral surgery procedures, Dr. Axelrad offers dental sedation via nitrous oxide. Suffering from impacted wisdom teeth, broken teeth, or any major tooth trauma? Call Brampton’s Gentle Dentist for the best in oral surgery at
